The Team

At Merafield View, residents are supported by a multidisciplinary team — nurses, care staff and the wider home team — working together to keep care consistent and daily routines reassuring. We combine strong clinical practice with genuine compassion, taking time to know each resident as an individual. This joined-up approach supports quality of life day to day — from comfort and personal routines to mealtimes, activities and wellbeing. We also work closely with local services, including GPs, pharmacies and community partners, to support residents’ health and wellbeing.

Deputy Manager

Laura

Laura has dedicated more than 12 years to working in social care, building extensive experience in supporting individuals and promoting high standards of care. For the past eight years, she has been an integral part of the team at MV, where she has steadily developed her knowledge, leadership skills, and understanding of the care sector.

Beginning her career at MV as the administrator, Emma quickly gained valuable insight into the operational and regulatory aspects of the service. Her commitment, professionalism, and passion for resident wellbeing led to her progression into the role of Deputy Manager, a position she has proudly held for the past five years.

Laura is passionate about fostering a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where residents feel comfortable, valued, and truly at home. She is equally committed to supporting and developing staff, believing that a positive and well-supported team is fundamental to delivering exceptional care. Through her leadership and dedication, she helps ensure that MV continues to provide a caring, professional, and supportive environment for residents and their families.

Clinical Deputy Manager

Emma

An experienced nursing professional, Emma qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2017 and has built a diverse career across acute, community, and specialist healthcare settings. Joining Merafield View in 2023, she quickly became a valued member of the team, progressing to the role of Clinical Lead in 2024 before being appointed Clinical Deputy Manager in 2026.

Prior to joining Merafield View, Emma served as a Clinical Lead within the community, specialising in the care and rehabilitation of individuals living with complex brain and spinal injuries. This role involved working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the NHS, military organisations, patients, and families to coordinate personalised care plans. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played an important role at the Nightingale Hospital in Exeter.

As Clinical Deputy Manager, Emma combines extensive clinical knowledge with strong leadership skills to support both residents and staff. Interim Manager

Marta

Marta began an exciting new chapter in December 2025 at Merafield View, currently serving as the Interim Manager at Merafield View, guiding service through a positive cultural shift and a renewed focus on quality, compassion, and stability.

With over 20 years of experience in social care, Marta has built a career rooted in frontline work, starting as a support worker and progressing through a variety of roles. These early years shaped her values and deepened her commitment to person-centred care, which continues to influence her leadership approach today.

Prior to this role, Marta spent five years developing and managing a small group of nursing homes in Devon.
